How did you get started? I started doing promotional work for album release parties, concerts and parades .

How were you discovered? I was discovered by a good friend of mine that works for a radio station he told me I had the looks and the attitude to be in this business .
What was your first modeling job? A promotional model for a radio station la mega 97.9 on a float during the Dominican parade.
Have you always wanted to model? No, I always had aspirations in becoming an actress
Is modeling your day job? Yes
Is it challenging for Latinas to get work in the entertainment and fashion industry?
Yes, the entertainment and fashion industry forces Latina to change certain aspects to get work .

Do you feel you are typecast on certain jobs in the industry as the “Latin Bombshell”? yes
What are some stereotypes for Latin women? Latina women are viewed as a sex object or selfless housewives .
What makes Latina women so hot and sexy?? Our ”sazon” which means flavor in Spanish
Lets discuss a topic that many shy away from…RACISM in the industry. Have you faced any during your run as a model? Yes I have…since I do come across as a white women…once they realize I am Hispanic the level of respect diminishes.
How do you feel about the fact that Blacks/Latinas only have videos as entrances into the industry while whites have agencies and so many other opportunities? I feel that we don't get the opportunity in the industry so we are forced to take another alternative such as doing a video.
I believe the stereotype in this industry as not changed that blacks/Latinas can only show case there talent thru music videos or exposing themselves in magazine. Do you think there is truth to this statement? Yes, I totally agree .

How do you feel about women wearing revealing clothing in videos and magazines? I feel that everyone wears what makes them happy. As an individual, at the end of the day, what you wear doesn’t make you who you are. But I do feel that as long as it is tasteful it works .

Lets discuss videos. You’ve been seen alongside top artists such as 50 Cent I his latest “Like The Way You Do It”. Which was your fav and which was your highest paid??
My favorite was working on the set with 50 cent and director Jessy Terrero on the set of ' I like the way she do it ' and also this is was my biggest pay so far .
Plans for the future? My journey as a model, dancer and entertainer have bought me to this wonderful opportunity that I plan to take full advantage of. As a public figure, I plan to continue the efforts of many successful Latina's before me to promote education, health and the arts
What are you working on right now? A independent film.
Whats coming up from you? Couple of things from print work, fashion shows, calender and of course movies and commericials. So stay on the look out ...
Any words of advice or wisdom for someone trying to break into your profession or do what you do on a daily basis? Always stay positive. No matter what, believe in yourself. Be yourself. So don’t run to the first thing that comes in hand. Even if it looks good. There could be consequences behind that. Patience is the key to success and u will see how rewarded u will be. 'Good things come to does who wait ' :)
