An all-white set, replete with origami sculptures, was the perfect backdrop for Jen Kao's spring/summer presentation. Exquisitely draped chiffon, jersey and silk provided an ethereal counterpoint to beautifully sculptured looks in a similarly neutral white, bone and grey palette. The only splash of colors came with bold purple/blue Graphink printed fabrics.
Be prepared to layer (or to be very bold) with Kao's sheer dresses, gowns and jumpsuits. And don’t let your gym membership lapse-you’ll need great legs for her structured bustier and trapeze mini dresses.
Our favorites were everything that flowed, especially the multi-panel drape dress and worker's shirt dresses (in white or grey). For romance, the final -a multi-panel layered gown with lace insets-took our breath away.
