Designer Thakoon Panichgul strayed away from the dark mood of the season, giving us all a sense of optimism and showcasing one of the more interesting collections. While he heavily emphasized black and white, he still managed to squeeze in an array of colors.
The knitwear pieces were some of the more interesting we have seen on the runway this season. A snowflake knitted sweater and skirt will have his girl chic from head to toe, while staying warm. His reinterpretation of this snowflake knit wear concept was shown in a black and white sleeveless dress. He also dabbled a bit with garment dying, showing a crimson dress and skirt that ebbed into a dreamy off-white. Thakoon's quilting techniques, shown on jackets, skirts and dresses also added a surprise to a season that has been filled with few, if any surprises.
