Fashion Ledge - Brian Wood

Brian Wood Spring 2006 - - "Edward’s Wacky Trip"

Inspiration
The collection draws inspiration from one of the most influential male fashion icons of the 20th century, Edward the VIII The Duke of Windsor. Only this time the Duke finds himself on a magical hallucinogenic adventure in an enchanted world of color and chaos. Brilliant reds, majestic purples, hew of sky blues, greens, and fuchsia pinks paint the canvas of the tailored collection.

Collection notes
Hand tailored suits with slim silhouettes in classic pinstripes and plaids are worn with linings that burst with eye-catching colorful graphics. Buttoned shirts are cut in plaids, and stripes with fresh detailing. A white oxford shirt has hand painted detailing. A plaid western is adorned with contrasting striped bias cut piping. An English flag is cut in a linen plaid and cotton knit, then appliquéd on an oversized picnic table plaid. Denim jackets are cut in cranberry pinstriped denim with a screen printed inside. A brilliant red double-breasted raincoat with horn buttons is unlined with gingham plaid piping. 1 button floral printed suit with half lining and contrasting rose stitching. Hand tailored creamsicle and white seersucker pants with scalloped hem.

Fabrics
Pinstriped wool cashmere blend suiting, hand bleached fuchsia denim, floral printed canvas with contrasting rose topstitching, Austrian imported plaid cotton shirting, and fine gauge cotton knits are used to create a men’s collection with a fusion of luxury, elegance, and comfort.
