Baby Phat has once again manage to be the talk of the town…. this season
had a little cloud of “too many chiefs…not enough seats.” Even
with the unwanted attention of having a bulging crowd of the press lingering in
the lobby, she handled it like a responsible professional and gave a sincere apology.
According to the publicist, the situation began to become unstable because the
200-plus people who had not been allowed into the preceding Phat Farm show were
never cleared from the tents. We forgave and enjoyed the show, whether from the
teleprompter or from the inside. The Caribbean influenced line for spring 2003
gave us what we were looking for from Baby Phat…. sexy. To bring a little
edge the gorgeous skin exposed models donned super-sexy, 80’s inspired collection
of:
Denim hot pants, draped jersey dresses that are so hot that you may need to consider
dressing them down with a pair of fitted jeans. The use of color and prints on
the sheer chiffon, the one-piece rompers that cinched at the knee, and the tiger
print velour were the most favorable.
Kimora, has an eye for fashion she has internalized the urban lifestyle and through
bringing her experience from haute couture has created collections that many will
hurry to see for many more seasons to come…..
