BCBG Max Azria  NY Fashion Week Fall 2004

Fashion Ledge - BCBG Max Azria
For fall 2004, the BCBG max azria woman invokes the spirit of jean Harlow. While keeping one foot firmly planted in modern-day Manhattan. Vibrant jewel tones set the pace, infusing fresh silhouettes with a screen-siren glamour. Color is paramount: sapphire. Emerald, amethyst and amber drive the collection, energizing more conventional fall shades of midnight. Mahogany and black. Contrast trims and striking color combinations enliven metro-chic silhouettes, with gold sequined pieces hitting a dramatic high-note.

Cotton bengaline and textured wool provide a practical foundation, giving balance to more luscious fabrications such as crushed silk velvet, chiffon and satin. the mood is one of low-key luxury, with touches of fur, sequins and metallic leather enriching the whole. Street-smart silhouettes lend a cool modern edge. Short jackets, slim cropped trousers and elegant overcoats sharpen draped crepe skirts and belted tunics. Zipper detailing, sequins and multi- colored metallic leather shoes contribute a little rock-star pizzazz. For evening, a parade of layered chiffon dresses in vibrant gem tones creates a playfully romantic mood.

For fall 2004, BCBG max Azria collection combines the rock n' roll with the romantic. the starlet with the city-slick. Bringing the glamour of old Hollywood into a New York state of mind.
