Never one to conform, Custo Barcelona showed his collection in a smorgasbord of colors and fabrics. It almost seemed as if the California-inspired designer had sorted through ever page of the Pantene Book and designed the collection. Looks ranged from the Old Italian Cinquecento to Japanese and everything in between. Not for every customer, but Custo has developed his business due to his kinship with his established clientele. While the collection is maturing, it still lacks a little direction. This season, he must have given his pattern makers free reign as he displayed a battalion of ruffles, pleats and various drapes.
Nonetheless, Custo accessorized the collection effortlessly with beautifully designed socks, which he showed on a variety of looks. A few looks dazzled, like his like his velvet fur-lined coat paired with a small brimmed fedora. Fun, fun, fun! No one does fun like Custo!
