Emerson  New York Fashion Week Fall 2013

Fashion Ledge - Emerson
The Emerson show got off to a bit of a late start, but the crowd didn't seem to mind waiting for the arrival of designer Jackie Fraser-Swan's family delayed traveling from Boston, her hometown. The name behind the Emerson label comes from poet Ralph Waldo Emerson, a distant relative of the designer.

Once things got going, a feminine take on 90's unfolded with style, grace, and a touch of sass. Looks ranged from simple yet modern to edgy elegance. Mood enhancing fabrics like sheers, plaids, and leathers were fashionably alternative as dresses and ensembles. Loosely side swept parts pulled back into a moderate ponytail with charm, and make-up was mostly clean minus the kohl-rimmed cat eyes that effectively added daring.
