It's wonderfully imaginative to create a crossover story that embraces the world of Barbie and entertains a fascination with fashion. While stepping into the role of a living doll wandering in an over-sized dream closet this season, real-life models donned designer creations inspired by Barbie's wardrobe over the decades. The loaner pieces provided by the city's Albright Fashion Library include the likes of an Oscar de la Renta gown, an iconic swimsuit representation by Liza Bruce, a double breasted Dolce & Gabanna career suit, an Alexander McQueen Wrap dress, and so much more. The scene was deliriously pink, and glittery, and filled with fabulousness - like a little girl on the inside meanwhile confidently mingling and sipping sugary concoctions on the outside. Attendees were treated to a trial of the Mattel brand's latest campaign, the unveiling of BarbieWow.com, a site that gives girls around the globe a glimpse into this magnificent virtual Dream Closet. Industry insiders aren't the only ones who can appreciate this sweet style of glamour.
