Adam plus Eve equals an orchard of temptations. Guys and gals sauntered about nonchalantly down the runway to eventually end up standing in two rows in front of cocktail sipping spectators. The models interacted casually amongst one another as the crowd gawked at the sight of the cool clothes on the cool kids. Well, they weren’t really kids, but they were certainly young, and they had just the right duds on to show off just how hip they were feeling.
From outerwear to cocktail dresses the collection covered a gamut of silhouettes. Jackets included double-breasted, motorcycle, duffle and pea coat varieties. Each of the dresses raised an appropriate amount of interest as well…a few with pleated details in metallic silk and jersey, a silk tiered frock, and a stunning olive hued dolman sleeve silk matte jersey dress with pockets. As knits are a staple, we are always looking for a range of styles, and this collection certainly delivered. Ranging from cashmere cardigans and flounce sleeve sweaters, a hand knit wool sweater coat, all the way to a heather grey wool jersey shirtdress.
The fabric choice played an important role in building a cohesive fall line that showcased both men’s and women’s styles as belonging to one and the same. Flannel, corduroy, leather, patent leather, jersey, chiffon, hounds tooth, herringbone, and all in various forms- silk, birch, bamboo…you name it, it was there. A job well done, achieved by mixing some traditional fall favorites in interesting and stimulating ways. It matters not if you’re an Adam or an Eve, both, or neither in fact, there is something tempting us here… go ahead… just taste it. I guarantee you’ll love it!
