Austin Scarlett - - Autumn / Winter 2005 Collection - - Photos: 01-13

Austin Scarlett was bom in Cottage Grove, Oregon, January 19, 1981, the same day as Edgar Alien Poe, Dolly Parton, Janis Joplin and General E. Lee. For as long as he can remember Austin has been dreaming up deliciously feminine and glamorous confections. The natural gift for realizing his visions, Austin developed on his own. His studies at FIT further refined those skills to a degree remarkable for one so young. This rare talent along with an inborn style that is entirely unique and undeniably hip make Austin Scarlett one of fashions brightest rising stars.

Kara Saun - - “Fantasy Fly-Girl” Fall 2005 - - Photos: 14-26

For my debut collection I embarked on a voyage to my own futuristic fantasyland. The Kara Saun Collection is a cross between "Aviatrix" and Fantasy Fly-Girls. Aviation meets technology. A Fantasy Fly-Girl is a woman ahead of her time. She's a daredevil. Hell's Angel on two very sexy legs. I took a mental page from the mind of the ultimate futurist Howard Hughes. Passion can make you crazy, but is there any other way to live? My Collection is all about the things I'm most passionate about - sinkable luxury, a woman so sexy she sucks the air out of a room, leather that I tricked into believing it was silk. The Fantasy Fly-Girl is modem, strong, passionate and seductive.

There is nothing so invigorating as a change of season. Fall ushers in the annual rites of harvest and celebration, and my Collection embraces the rich traditional Autumn Aesthetic, as well as signaling the arrival of the holiday season.

Jay McCarroll - - “Sterotype” Autumn / Wainter 2005 Collection - - Photos: 40-53

This is a "Street Smart" collection using music as a thread that explores the idea of "stereotypes". Whether it's indie or electronica, rap or rock & roll, music defines, stylistically, the people we associate with, the way we live, the way we dress, and most importantly, who we are.
