The Fall 2007 Carolina Herrera collection is a juxtaposition of color, texture and dimension. The rich shades of captain blue. grape, ash, poppy and bark were inspired by Edvard Munch's 1889 portrait of Mans Jaeger. These colors were further heightened by layering perforated felt wool jacquard, Shetland starburst plaid, floral lame and wool-looped organza.
Optical illusion is a key concept throughout the collection. Examples are seeing the hand-painted georgette under hand-gathered tulle, beaded tulle placed over circle print wool jacquard, layering tulle over satin organza and tissue organza.
