Showroom 30 recognizes the need for visibility of New York’s design talent and acknowledges that while there are outlets that provide visibility, such as Gen Art, there is still a void because many existing organizations are unable to accommodate all the amazing talent clamoring for runway space off 7th on 6th each season. Showroom 30 presented the Fall 2005 fashion showcase of the year featuring a selection of edgy, emerging designers. Among those participating were: SYD, Ms. Cheescake, Indashio, Jedda Kahn, Keith Simon and Roy Jones Collections.
The showcase took place at New York’s Parson School of Design right in
the heart of the fashion district. The sponsors were Rusk Hair Care, Red Bull,
Spirit Airlines, Vichy Laboratories and Lucire.
”We are excited about this every important showcase,” said Ron Smith, founder and CEO of Showroom 30. He continued: “Each season when the big tents at Bryant Park light up, many emerging designers feel left out in the cold.”
