Tamara Pogosian  NY Fashion Week Fall 2009

Fashion Ledge - Tamara Pogosian
Tamara Pogosian Fall 2009

Channeling the elegance of vintage Hollywood, Tamara Pogosian blew us away with her homage to Art Deco artist Tamara de Lempika. Designed as a modern take on classical essentials, Pogosian’s womenswear offers interchangeable pieces – a simple black halter dress, tailored pinstripe trousers, or mohair herringbone trench coat – that express individuality and exude sophistication and practicality.

Pogosian’s choice in hairstyles and make-up for her models heightened the vintage vibe, as did her color palette, fabric selection and garment embellishments. Properly placed sequins adorned a shorter periwinkle dress, while soft, gracefully draped taupe fabric created a stunning floor-length gown. Set in the upstairs of the trendy (yet low-key) 212 Restaurant, Pogosian catered to both our fashion needs and our sense of atmosphere – all with flawless execution, style and grace.
