This season the Academy of Art University School of Fashion chose 13 student designers to debut their collections at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. All together six womenswear and two menswear were shown with 4 collaborative highlights in the mix. Family, friends, and familiar faces including Patrick McDonald, Lauren Ezersky, and Michael Musto came out in support. For women we loved the technicolor textured spirit from the collection by fashion designer Jaci Hodges and textile designer Nisha Hanna Btesh. For men we liked the edgy menswear collab from Frank Tsaiís and Andrea Nieto. These up and coming names are all set to make a splash, when it comes to aspiring talent we keep an eye out on the competition.
