Houston native, Elaine Turner, continues to churn out stylish handbags (and now shoes) which seem to resonate with the chicest of chicettes. Just ask Nordtrom's, which is now carrying the Elaine Turner brand. Sleek sandals with metal hardware and charming ballet flats have been introduced for spring 2009. Elaine expects this side of the business to grow proportionately with her handbags and for the shoes to be the perfect accessories to complement her handbag designs.
On the bag front, were those wildly glorious spring colors! The Elaine Turner gal will be seen holding totes/handbags/clutches in raspberry, mauve, beige, and animal prints. Snakeskin and distressed leather continue to be key ingredients while Elaine has also added the use of woven wicker this season for an extra flirty appeal. And naturally the price point hasn't changed, much to our approval!
The collection is all about clean structured American classics. There is a nostalgia that references the Palm Beach lifestyle and a night into town or poolside in the 70's, adds Elaine Turner. To achieve this effect, Turner keeps the collection very chic and simple - - she has a minimal approach to hardware while other details are well thought out (and executed) such as embossed ruffle details and elegant adornments with beads.
