The belle of the ball gets an edgy make-over at Carmen Marc Valvo. The usual glitz and glam is swapped for a warrior princess in the making. Dignified separates for evening and streamlined silhouettes were alluring in a rich color palette. From tunics over lean legs and slender skirts to the designer’s signature gowns – the collection was oozing with a creativity channeling the late great city of Constantinople. Metallics enhanced the look by adding understated glam by way of brocade components and gunmetal moments. Ornamentation came in a different form this season with beading giving way to chainmail and a quite literal breastplate. Seriously stunning for the strong and stylish type.
