Jagged Edge…Always
Most R&B groups seem to come and go, but thank God, for Jagged Edge, longevity has been on their side. Known particularly for popular songs throughout the years like, I Gotta Be, Let’s Get Married, Where the Party At, What’s It Like, just to name a few and now their current hit, Good Luck Charm. Never truly receiving their deserved recognition, Jagged Edge still continues to press forward and produce genuine hits.
Their rugged lyrics always appeal to the men as well as the women and everyone knows there’s nothing like street credibility. And just to set the record straight having street cred doesn’t mean anything negative or violent- gang related, etc. Street credibility simply means getting respect from the streets for remaining true to who you KNOW you are and “keeping it real.”

For instance their current self-entitled album contains a song called Questions. The harmony is crazy (expect nothing less from Jagged Edge) and the lyrics are surprising. “Maybe I got too much to give or maybe the truth is I ain’t shit.” Executive produced by Jagged Edge themselves, in particular twins Brian and Brandon, Jagged Edge is definitely worth copping. |

Damon Dash Says No More Music
Hip-hop connoisseur (in his own right), Damon Dash was recently on Ed Lover’s Power 105.1FM afternoon talk show and he outwardly stated that he doesn’t want to do music any more.
“It’s hard for me, it’s a different climate, different people. People aren’t as honorable as they used to be. The only way I’d come back to music is if I’ll make history,” Dash stated.
I honestly think that he has already made history with Jay-Z in the rise and unfortunately the fall of the original Rocafella empire. Now, I know that Rocafella still exists, but it will never be the same as when the dynamic duos were the head honchos. |

 |
| Dash continues, “I make money doing fashion now. I did the music thing and I didn’t like the way it ended. I was being portrayed in a lot of different ways. I’m 35 years old now I can’t be jumping around in videos. The Damon Dash Music Group will always empower artists; I just can’t do the day to day. You see the same people at the same industry parties fighting for the same dollar,” Dash ended. |

Cam’ron Puts His Money Where His Mouth
Is Rapper Cam’ron has always stated that he doesn’t want to go to college, just to make the average 30K salary and pay back more in student loans. Well, he didn’t just say this as an excuse not to attend an institution of higher education, he’s actually making more and more money, by investing in himself and his goals.
No, his money isn’t solely being spent on jewels and pink Range Rovers, he’s being wise with his kiddash! (cash).
Instead of having a big budget video with all the finest cars, women and jewels (ingredients of a hip-hop video), Cam made his own feature and hawked it on DVD. A big budget video has NO profit, but the Killa Cam DVD will generate some type of ends.
Second, instead of advertising his new album in major urban magazines and paying a hefty price, he could finance his own magazine that would equal the same cost of three ads. So he did… Platinum Entrepreneur.
Cam’ron says that he plans to encourage others in the hood to invest their money in business rather than blowing it on bling. |
