Don’t Knock Her Hustle

Beyonce has definitely become a household name around the world over the years.  Some believe Beyonce Knowles has been over exposed and that her talent is not equivalent to her stunning beauty.

This popular opinion became even more familiar after the 2006 movie Dream Girls hit the box office on Christmas day. Beyonce played the role of Deena Jones, who was the average singer in the group but she had the most “camera-friendly” look. Playing opposite Jennifer Hudson in the movie, who honed the role as Effie White and even won an Oscar for it, people began to verbally attack Beyonce in real life. Her vocal abilities were constantly being criticized and compared to that of Jennifer Hudson.

Well, perhaps Jennifer Hudson is a more powerful vocalist than Beyonce to most, however until you’ve experienced Beyonce live, you do not know how incorrect you are about her talents if you happen to be a skeptic. With her concert performances being so creative and energetic, Young B isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.

In  New York City at Madison Square Garden on August 5th,  Beyonce gave a show like no other during what she calls “The Beyonce Experience.” Robin Thicke opened which was a treat, but nothing and no one in the industry at the present moment, can compare to Beyonce’s live performance.

Her stage was her domain and it was made crystal clear to all that night why Beyonce is a bona fide celebrity. She gives you a real performance and as beautiful as she is, she didn’t seem the least bit concerned about her hair or make-up, she getting down and dirty from beginning to end.

She  performed all songs with a relentless energy and hunger like a newbie trying to land a deal. Beyonce worked and gave you your money’s worth. Just about every song prefaced  with a well-acted out skit, especially the more popular  “man-bashing”songs like Ring the Alarm in which the dancers all had a story to tell as to why “they’ll be damned if they saw another chick on his arm.” From one woman putting a man through school only to find out he had plans on leaving her once he graduated for someone he just met in grad school, to another woman who found out her man was loving someone else in her own bedroom, you get the gist…

She gave the men a treat as well when she performed “Cater To You” wearing what could be described as a glitter bathing suit. The glitter portions of the fabric covered her breast and other private areas giving the illusion like she wore nothing but glitter since the other parts of the fabric covering  the rest of her body was flesh tone.  Damn Beyonce, can I keep my man??

Moving on, in a nutshell, she is not over exposed, she just is what she is… a true star, who’s  good looks along with her talent and hard work has gotten her this far and she’s going to continue to ride this out for a LONG time.
