FL Summer is here at long last and we are as happy as you are!  We recognize, however, that sometimes summer seems to sneak up on us.  So as part of our swimsuit issue, we offer you five tips to get in last minute shape so that you too are “summer ready.”
Our swimsuit issue takes a close look at beach etiquette, which also implies trends for this season’s beachgoer.  We explore etiquette by glancing at Figleaves.com, one of the world’s largest multi-brand intimate apparel retailers.  Find out if your swimsuit is “in” this season.
We have selected some of the best swimwear companies we could find (from Victoria’s Secret to Cosabella Mare to Red Carter etc.) and give you an inside look at the machinations that make these companies work: marketing strategies, fabric choices, styles and what drives some of these designers and marketing gurus.  You do not want to miss these fabulous collections.
We left no stone unturned for this issue!  Therefore, we bring you coverage of the Sunglass Hut Miami Swim Shows for spring 2006.  These collections, such as Becca, are hot, hot, hot!  The Lingerie Americas NY trade show was a success and we bring you some exclusive footage.  We also highlight three lingerie designers that we were particularly enamored by: Beija Brazil, Expose Beauty and Martha Colon. Our “beauty bag” for this issue is scent heavy.  We feature new fragrances from Burberry, CK One Eternity (men and women) and CK One Summer.  We also feature some new sensual colors from Maybelline and highlight a makeup regiment by Fleur’s.  For the hair, we offer Ojon shampoo, conditioner and glossing mist.  And for those lazy summer evenings after a swing on the hammock, we offer Malena, a body candle that can also be used as a massage oil or enjoyed as a deep moisturizing lotion-oil - - what fun! We sit down with PZI Jeans’ Vice President, Melody Nunez, and learn why no other jean fits a curvy woman better than PZI Brian Wood is all about perseverance.  Learn more about this uber talented young designer who exhibits Davidian strength in a saturated NY market.
We cap the issue with Ropa Vieja, a collection that is all about Latin flavor and expression.  The clever word play and depictions on these shirts is timeless and in some cases needed to spark debate.
