Scanty They call him “the Pajama man!” Wouldn’t it be great to live work and play in your Pajamas? That is what designer Mickey Sills had in mind. Scanty is the brainchild of Mickey Sills. He is a self-taught designer with a sharp eye for lifestyle trends. He has played a major part in PJ Salvage Co. and Lucky Brand sales numbers within a few years at each establishment. When asked about how he conceptualized Scanty, he had this to say: “My problem is that I have too many ideas! The hardest part is narrowing down my creativity and throwing ideas away. I wanted to create something that would bring a smile to everyone’s faces, create a sense of comfort…playfulness. Scanty allows me to use my creativity and make those emotions possible for people.” He continued: “I have been in the Pajama business forever with PJ Salvage, so it’s what I know best. It’s what keeps my creative juices flowing.” Sills is inspired by his own memories, the way things have changed, and the things he sees around him every day. He explains that “This season it’s all about sexiness with a tougher edge. It’s not all flowers and rainbows. Sculls, crossbones, guitars and casino prints can be feminine too. It’s femininity and comfort with an edgy, off-beat style.” His energy, enthusiasm, is conveyed through his designs, which are a mixture of fun and passion and have indefinite possibilities. His collection of loungewear is a major part of his life. According to Mickey, “everything in the line is from a period of time in my life, not just what’s hot right now.” The collection is ski, surf, and vintage inspired. The pants fit like your favorite pair of jeans, with a low rise and flare leg, a trend new in pajamas. The tops are colorful prints, sexy solids, and incredible shapes. Scanty allows comfort day or night. You can wear scanty and go
out or lounge around while feeling sexy in your bedroom or the living
room. For the spring season Scanty has sexy prints such as the Retro
Cowboy and Airstream trailer. The collection also includes original
