Emerging Singer/Songwriter Ruth B's Debut EP "The Intro" NOW Available!

Compelling 20 year old Canadian newcomer Ruth B’s highly anticipated debut EP, The Intro, is available today on iTunes and Spotify via Columbia Records. Propelled by the year’s most alluring viral hit, “Lost Boy,” and declared "an early holiday treat" by Entertainment Weekly, the EP features 3 other tracks, “Golden,” “2 Poor Kids,” and “Superficial Love,”. Originally embraced by followers on the short form video service Vine, Ruth’s evocative viral hit “Lost Boy” became a YouTube sensation at the beginning of the year (currently nearing 9 million views of fan-generated videos for the song), with Ruth being followed by more than 2 million Vine users. “Lost Boy” has been in the Top 5 of the iTunes Singer/Songwriter Chart for the last 5 months, selling over 130,000 singles since February of this year and garnering over 13 million global Spotify streams. Displaying absorbing songwriting instincts and an intimate vocal delivery, Ruth recorded the EP in Brooklyn, NY, capping off a whirlwind year that saw her go from a complete unknown to one of 2015’s most authentic debut artists. The Intro arrives to close out the year as an enthralling prelude from a new singer/songwriter in full command of her gift. “For all my fans who know ‘Lost Boy,’ this EP shows even a deeper side of me,” says Ruth. “These songs have become my friends, in a way.
