Hot Summer TV Coming Your Way!

by Odienne Dina Chisolm
BOSS

He is truly “riding around and getting it!”

Clifford “T.I.” Harris has been busy to say the least and this time, not busy doing a bid, but steady on his grind!

The successful rapper, no stranger to the acting world (starred in ATL, Takers, Single Ladies and more) will be joining forces with seasoned beauty Sanaa Lathan on a crime drama, BOSS. The series is about a Chicago mayor who secretly suffers a degenerative disorder and is ruthless.

The fireworks come into play when Lathan stands up against the bull-headed mayor.

T.I. will engage himself with the likes of his former gang connections and affiliates to gain political power, you have to watch and see how it unfolds. Check out Starz network this August.

THE NEXT: FAME IS AT YOUR DOORSTEP

Queen Latifah wears just about every hat you can think of in show business: rapper, actress, producer, model, talk show host, mentor, and the list goes on.

Well, this time around, Queen Latifah is giving someone else the opportunity in show business, with new show in which she co-executive produces, The Next: Fame is at Your Doorstep.

She, along with rapper Nelly, will be hitting the road to search for new talent. They will be looking for the next American Star and I’m sure the commentary will be nothing short of raw, but humorous and constructive. Get those vocal chords ready America! Check CW guide for actual air date.

R&B DIVAS

You know this summer wouldn’t go by without a new reality show popping up in the mix.

Let’s see we now have Love & Hip Hop Atlanta, Hollywood Exes, Basketball Wives, Mob Wives, Big Ang, I’m losing count.

R&B Divas Faith Evans, Nicci Gilbert (formerly of Brownstone), Keke Wyatt, Monifah and Syleen Johnson have all teamed up to star in a new reality series, simply called R&B Divas.

The show which is primarily led by Faith Evans, the most familiar face amongst the cast, will follow the recovery journeys of these somewhat fallen stars. All of the divas here can truly “SANG” so it will be quite interesting to find out why we didn’t hear more from these great talents. Coming to TV ONE in August.
