Oh, the best has yet been mentioned, my fair ladies. Lilac And Lilies offers personal shopping services, seasonal trunk shows, fashion cocktail parties for charities and special events and private shopping after hours by appointment. “Move out the way, I got this inside scoop first!”
How and why did you start Lilac And Lilies?
As far as I can remember, from the time I was a little girl, I recall flipping through the pages of my mom's fashion magazines. I studied how top fashion models, like Nikki Taylor, Cindy Crawford and Naomi Campbell were styled. It was from this time that I knew I was destined to be a part of the fashion industry. I am where I am today because of all my hard work and dedication.
Explain the meaning behind the name “Lilac And Lilies”?
I wanted something that was very feminine and unordinary. Lilac And Lilies denotes essence of “fresh”, which is what you can expect when you shop with us- your fresh bouquet of fashion, if you will.
Why base your boutique out of Miami?
Miami is a very transient city. It's a Cosmopolitan melting pot of various cultures and styles and as a result, it is absolutely a leading fashion city.
What is the overall design attitude amongst designers/collections based in Miami?
Bright, bold and flirty.
How has a Miami base influenced your collection choices?
Well, the most important influence is weather and season.
What trends do you expect will be in the upcoming season?
The military influence is going to be huge. We saw this in the upcoming fall collection for MM Couture and Madison Marcus.
What's next for Lilac And Lilies?
We want to start incorporating beauty products and are working on our own private label.
Give us three words that best describe the boutique?
Inviting, feminine and chic!
Any words of advice or wisdom for someone trying to break into your profession or do what you do on a daily basis?
Work your “Ass” off and don't give up!
