The Non Surgical Nose Job: New Nose, No Knife!

by Publicist
Dr. Alexander Rivkin, a Los Angeles based facial plastic surgeon, has developed a new procedure called the Non Surgical Nose Job™ which gives patients a less invasive alternative to traditional rhinoplasty.

Dr. Rivkin's procedure gives skeptical, scalpel phobic patients the opportunity to have their nose cosmetically improved without the pain, swelling, down-time and cost of surgical rhinoplasty (approximately $2000). The Non Surgical Nose Job™ also avoids the risks of surgery, such as unsightly scarring, difficulty breathing and even death (rare, but always possible with general anesthesia). Dr.Rivkin's innovative technique involves the use of injectables such as Restylane®, Artefill or Juvaderm™ to camouflage nasal deformities such as humps, drooping tips or sideways deviations of the top of the nose.

Dr. Rivkin feels his procedure is the new wave in cosmetic surgery. As a less expensive, minimally invasive alternative, the Non Surgical Nose Job™ is quickly giving traditional plastic surgery a run for its money. “The Non Surgical Nose Job™ is an easy way to see the results without committing the time and money to invasive surgical options,” says Rivkin.

Dr. Rivkin's procedure is performed in the office and takes about 30 minutes. The injections fill in defects, smooth out sharp angles or change the angle of the tip of the nose. At various points in the procedure, Dr. Rivkin asks the patient to hold up a mirror so that they may direct his attention to the areas about which they are most concerned. Most people go back to work immediately after the procedure.

The Non Surgical Nose Job™ is also an excellent option for clients who have a flattened nasal bridge (upper dorsum) and would like to see that area built up and better defined. The procedure is also a perfect fit for teenagers, as plastic surgery is often not recommended for this age group.

Depending on the injectable, the results can last from six months to three years. Uniquely, this means that if a patient decides they want to revert to their old nose, they need only wait until the duration of today's modern injectables run their course; a feature nonexistent in other surgical procedures.
