With a few career changes in store, Tia Lyn decided to take a chance at her own company in NYC in 2001. She gathered inspiration from her grandmother’s teacups: she pulled the colors from there and chose lace with darling little scallops. Adornments came in the form of small bows and pearls along with rosettes and crystal charms to make her collection stand apart.

In an effort to keep the Tia Lyn collection a little more unique and special, Tia Lyn caters to all women and the collection is made in the US. Her designs are forgiving and allow all types of body shapes to feel comfortable - - these are designs for the modern woman 30 to 60 to sexy! She believes in comfort more than anything else, which is apparent from the softness of the collection juxtaposed against its fashionable sex appeal.

Tia Lyn is a firm believer in making pieces that are machine washable: ”It’s just essential. No one has time to take their panties to the dry cleaners!” She positions herself to compete with the best lingerie companies because of her design acumen. Not surprisingly, she has designed for Victoria Secret (and most recently she designed a pair of black skivvies worn in the Dec 6th Victoria Secret show featured on www.fashionledge.com). A part of her objective is to work with larger labels and she does private label designing for many others as well.

While speaking to Ms. Lyn, I could tell that she puts a lot of passion and charisma into her work. Her personality gleamed through the phone! You can expect great new things from her fall collection in dusty pinks, paired with tea roses and ivories. I believe she has a collection that will be in the spotlight for many seasons!
