AereA Spring 2006

Photographed by Yohance DeLoatch
Set up in a cozy and airy loft in downtown Manhattan, artist Marsan invites company in to view her passion. Every corner had a significant piece of work either by her hands or by those that inspired her. Venetian born artist, Marsan, heavy accent in tow, shares the concept of “wearable art” - - made from Japanese denim, soft and durable in the hand, embroidered stitching of her artwork found in the rivets, waistband and pockets.
Balance is the key to her inspiration, with family and home always near, she has drawn from home life in their likeness of cherubs, mother and child, theatrical forms of structures that induce a calming feeling. |
