These first official Y’rus bikinis were launched at a show in Dússeldorf, Germany. The selection (designs #7, #20, #22 and #23) was made from the total collection of Rus’s creations at that moment. Still the numbers refer to the sequence of his original designs, a number that is still growing. Since the start of the official Y’rus label Rus has participated in some leading European and US beach wear trade shows. The Y’rus designs are characterised by a combination of standard beach wear techniques and materials and a selection of special couture elements.

The office of the company and the atelier of Rus in the Netherlands are in Utrecht, a mediaeval town approximately 40 km South East of Amsterdam. Most recently (June 2005) the web site of the Y’rus collection was totally restyled. Apart from the regular Y’rus designs the site also contains a special corner for registered visitors where some rare concept bikinis are shown. Finally the new Y’rus site is spiced with a number of interesting quotes on beauty in general.
