With over 20 years experience in the swimwear industry
you can rest assured that a suit from Vicky Moreinis
will be flattering, classic, vibrant and fun. Her collection
appreciates the health conscious consumer who wants to look
and feel good with a design that will reflect her personality.
Moreinis explains: “Today, a woman of 50
may still want to wear a bikini but not necessarily a triangle,
tie side, or thong but yet something fun and exciting. I
always try to keep in mind that wearing a bathing suit is
synonymous with a vacation. The prints and colors should
be FUN!”
Vicky Moreinis’ hand crafted designs are known for
details, hand painting, and the employment of the best of
European fabrics. Expect ornaments in coconut and seeds,
crochet, batik and South American Art. The spring ’08
collection features prints in vibrant colors of reds, oranges,
blues and greens, many on brilliant white backgrounds.
“My inspiration was spring itself and all
that it means…sun, flowers, vacation, tanned bodies.
I wanted to bring out the fun in the colors and prints that
I used for this collection. New to this collection is hand
painted fabrics. Each one is unique.”
What do you think are the biggest trends in swimwear
for spring ‘08?
One of the big trends is mixing prints and textures. The
silhouette we are focusing on is very feminine. Cover ups
are becoming more important. This spring we are selling
our award winning crochet skirt in silver and gold as well
as natural.
What trends must disappear?
BLING!
Look for more sexy cover ups that can be used as streetwear
and sexy little summer dresses that can be worn around the
pool or to a club at night.
