FashionLedge.com had a great opportunity to support our troops for a recent holiday fashion show in Iraq by providing clothing such as Rocawear as well as pre and post show media support.

According to Courtney Gary, “The goal was to present a show for Soldiers by Soldiers on Thanksgiving, which happened to be the second Thanksgiving our unit spent away from home. We did our best to create a mood that transported the viewer to some place other than Iraq and of course provide entertainment.”

Courtney is part of the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division based out of Ft. Hood Texas. In Iraq we were located in International Zone in Baghdad on Foward Operating Base Prosperity where the show took place. The show had 18 models participate, all Soldiers in the Army of varying ranks.

While FashionLedge.com’s support is nominal when one considers the great personal sacrifice that our soldiers undertake to secure a future for all us, we are delighted that we were able to do a small part in bringing a smile on our deserving extended family.
