AMANDA BYNES’ DEAR™ - - A FASHION-FORWARD BRAND WITH BUDGET-FRIENDLY PRICES
Comedic actress and Hollywood “it”
girl Amanda Bynes teamed up with casual apparel
retailer Steve & Barry's® to launch Dear™,
the star's first-ever apparel and accessory line.
Bynes, collaborated with a team of dedicated Steve
& Barry’s designers to create the collection
of high quality, affordable and comfortable clothing
for young women.
Dear is sold exclusively at Steve & Barry's,
a national retailer known for keeping every item
priced at $19.98 or below. The Dear collection
reflects Bynes’ personal sense of style
and comfort: casual, fun items of clothing every
girl will love to live in.
The Dear collection features pieces Bynes says
were designed “for girls to hold ‘dear’
for years to come.
”“From the first time I met the Steve
& Barry’s folks in one of their stores,
I got it – I totally got what they were
about and knew I wanted to be a part of it,”
said Bynes. “
With Dear, I think we’ve developed a
lifestyle brand that girls are going to embrace.
I love the fact that girls can shop for a whole
wardrobe and mix it and match it in so many ways
and still have money left to go out and show off
their cute new looks!” added Bynes.
Dear offers more than 120 pieces of clothing
comprising a head-to-toe collection with great
fitting denim jeans, casual pants, dresses, fitted
polos, and unique graphic hoodies that girls won’t
want to hide in. Also in the line are 28 accessory
styles including cute shoes and adorable hats,
bags and belts and over 70 different pieces of
fun, youthful jewelry. Outerwear such as down
vests and jackets will also be introduced at launch.
Dear continues Steve &
Barry’s commitment to make a major entry
in the women’s market. At the same
time, Dear reinforces the retailer’s founding
philosophy that high quality, on-trend fashion
should be made available at a price everyone can
afford. Steve & Barry’s made a huge
splash with consumers and media in the summer
of 2006 when it partnered with NBA® basketball
star Stephon Marbury to create the Starbury™
Collection of affordably priced sneakers and clothing.
The Dear collection delivers the cost-conscious
values of Steve & Barry’s to a new demographic
by catering to a younger woman who wants to be
stylish on a budget.
“Steve & Barry’s philosophy really
drew me to collaborate with them on a clothing
line. It is such an important message for teens
to know that they don’t need to spend a
fortune on clothes to look great and have the
confidence that goes along with that,” said
Bynes.
Dear is exclusively available in a store-within-store
environment featuring specially designed fixtures
and signage at Steve & Barry locations nationwide.
