Written by Yvette N. Coleman
Mirla Sabino creator of ANK breathes life into the Summer of 2007 with natural elements of a tropical beach. Imagine transparent water, moving tides, and the texture of the sand. They will take you there with impressive color palettes, delicate accents, and soft metals to enhance femininity. “We have carefully selected a number of unique materials rarely used in bathing suits designs to enhance the end users experience with his/her garments. In this collection you will find silky velvet, translucent mother of pearl applications and soft mesh cover ups.
The primary differences are on the colors and inspiration. Our last collection had a Middle Eastern inspiration. The deep and rich colors found in the veils worn by Middle Eastern woman and Bedouin market. We took inspiration from the relation of desert and sky. Our 2007 Collection has taken inspiration from a long walk on the beach. We have taken the intense natural elements of all beaches and applied them as a thin layer in our garments. The result as seen in this new collection is a soft second skin that can be worn by all women of all body types.” |
