Plenty of Lovin’
Tracy Reese PLENTY Spring 2007 Preview
Written By Yvette N. Coleman
In her charming showroom in mid town Manhattan,
Tracy Reese lets fashion insiders
get close and personal with her Spring
'07 Plenty collection. Each model
that appeared looked so fresh, warm
with a soft sexiness that made
one forget that it was merely 40 degrees and windy
right outside those ceiling high windows.
Exotic prints inspired from far
off places around the globe were the inspirations
for the Plenty collection.
As each look came to life it was apparent that
I am definitely a Plenty type of woman. I could
imagine myself sashaying in the city of blaring
horns with a Bahamas vacation on my mind!
Plenty has tribal classic natural
woven fabrics reminiscent of Nigeria. Prints are
in classic colors and are primarily in aqua, pinks,
browns and ivory similar to Seychelles
island off the coast of Africa, where
coconut, bananas and fresh fish are the way of
life. Javanese, Balinese and Tiki
prints place you in the setting of well adorned
Legong dancers with well executed steps of the
ancient Hindu-Javanese dance. The collection has
gorgeous and soothing colors in shades of brown,
amber, orchid, coral and sand. Tracy
continues to offer classic looks to enjoy now
and for the future. Her lush fabric choices and
bohemian appeal has won over and over in the fashion
industry.
Plenty offers perfect pieces for every occasion.
So what is the difference between Plenty and Tracy
Reese? “Plenty is the
younger and funkier version of its bigger sister
Tracy…Tracy Reese is
uptown and Plenty is downtown chic, it just depends
on your mind.”
Recently, Tracy ventured into Home design, accessories
and most triumphantly, opened her first Flagship
Boutique in Manhattan's Meatpacking District at
641 Hudson Street. The 2200 square-foot
space is a global showcase to display the Tracy
Reese and Plenty by Tracy Reese fashions and brand
new Home and Accessories collections.
Tracy has been featured in prominent high-fashion
publications such as Vogue, Elle,
Harper's Bazaar as well as on
the cover of Lucky.
Tracy Reese and Plenty by Tracy Reese are sold
at the Flagship Boutique in New York City, nationwide
at top department stores and specialty boutiques
including Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Saks Fifth
Avenue, Bergdorf Goodman, Ron Herman and Scoop.
She is also sold at select retailers throughout
Europe and Asia.
Price points $50 to $450.

P.S.
In person Tracy gives you such amazing
energy and passion. Her label is not just a job
but how she lives what she believes. She
shares her light with each collection and is genuine
and honest each time. It was a pleasure
to be in her presence, however short lived. |
