New York City, NY (September 20, 2006) - Replay debuted its S/S ’07 collection last night with an outdoor fashion show in SoHo featuring the Gotham Girls Roller Derby who took over Greene Street skating down a specially erected catwalk. Downtown hipsters crowded the streets to get a glimpse, along with eclectic mix of guests including Carson Kressley of “Queer Eye”, Stacy London of “What Not To Wear”, Socialite Tinsley Mortimer, Richard Johnson of the New York Post’s Page Six and wife Sessa, International Porn Stars Savana Samson and Heather Hunter, Fashion Fixture Patrick McDonald. A private after-party followed inside the REPLAY store with Kenny Kenny at the door and burlesque dancers taking over led by Queen Bee Darlinda Just Darlinda.
The skaters included Red Scare, Tramp O’Lean, GoGo BaiBai, Lil’ Miss Stuffit, Ginger Snap and Arial Assault. These are just a few of the rough and tumbled women from the Gotham Girls Roller Derby league who skated to the music of internationally renowned DJ Lars (MTV’s “Real World” London) in the latest looks as styled by top Stylist Jorge Ramon (regular fashion expert on VH1 and numerous talk shows). In addition to these women, the men of the Gotham Girls Roller Derby league showed off their skating skills showcasing REPLAY’s menswear.
The Spring / Summer 2007 womenswear collection is infused with a 1920’s colonial romanticism, tonal embroidery and prints which provide a feminine touch balanced on the runway by a flashback to the 1960’s with short blousons and longer-length trench coats above the knee. The menswear collection is inspired by nostalgia for Africa, military references and the twinkle of distant city lights. Desert Browns, beige and military green will grace the catwalk.
Gotham Girls Roller Derby (www.gothamgirlsrollerderby.com), a skater owned and operated organization, is New York City's only all-female roller derby league, comprised of strong and independent women from the world's biggest, baddest city. These troublemakers have honed their skills on the mean city streets of the concrete jungle and are ready to unleash their ferocious appetite for kickin' ass on wheels.
Every Gotham Girl is an amalgam of athlete, pin-up girl, rocker and brute rolled into one badass derby girl. Pretty? Hell, yeah! Tough? Of course! Badass? Always! These ladies are taking all the action and excitement of the roller derby you remember and doing it with a modern twist to keep you on your toes.

About Gotham Girls Roller Derby:
Founded in 2003, GGRD has led the nation-wide charge to bring the American-born sport of Roller Derby back to the limelight. All-girl roller derby leagues around the country have taken the high-speed athleticism and hard-hitting action of derby past, and added a dose of punk rock attitude to create this new wave of Roller Derby. GGRD is a proud member of the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA) along with 30 other skater-owned and operated leagues in the U.S.
