ALEXANDROS FUR SHAPES UP FOR FALL 2006

Designer lines showcase fur's diversity

New York, NY (June 12. 2006) - A new sense of shape showcases fur in spectacular silhouettes in the fall 2006 fur collections at ALEXANDROS.

With a keen eye to the sophisticated fashion tastemakers, designer Athanasios (Tommy) Demetriades brings a contemporary aesthetic to fur in his EKSO collection. Fur capelets are fun and functional in black cross or sheared mink. Double breasted peplum jackets and fitted cropped jackets tell the tale...in broadtail...looking sleek, tailored and often combined with Loro Piana cashmere. Vintage inspired short coats portray new proportions, and the fresh three-quarter length sleeve is emphasized in the richest of mink or fox.

The young and spirited XANDER collection features the newest Chekiang lamb, a flat yet plush textured fur that is lightweight and supple. Silhouettes are cropped, wrapped and belted with leather details and crystal accents. In a color palette of denim blue and copper. Chekiang lamb is the perfect compliment for the ever present jeans in a hipster's wardrobe. Multi-colored sheared minks are knitted and ruffled in weightless vests. With retail values under $2000, this is a collection those trend-loving young customers can afford.

In the debut of XANDER accessories, the fur handbag is key in shapes ranging from oval and triangular wristlets in broadtail or mink to an oversize hobo satchel in Finn raccoon with python leather trim.

Sexiness comes in all sizes with the introduction of "THE DIVAS COLLECTION", designed by fashion television journalist Leon Hall. Recognizing that the majority of women in the U.S. are size 14 and over, and want to be fashionable in fur, "THE DIVAS COLLECTION" features flattering styles in furs ranging from the smoother sheared mink and Karakul lamb to shearling and regular mink.

"My collection is all about furs that fit and flatter the larger woman," says Mr. Hall. "Fit is essential ...fit makes it yours. All women have hourglass shapes. My divas are just a bit larger. I want them to enjoy the magnificent feeling of wearing fur and looking divine!"

Bigger is better when it comes to "THE DIVAS COLLECTION" by Leon Hall. Fall 2006 is shaping up to be a season of sophistication, comfort, ease and warmth. And nothing accomplishes that better than the ALEXANDROS fur collections!
