LUCKYSCENT.COM
LuckyScent.com is the premier destination for rare and exclusive fragrances online. Established by Franco Wright and Adam Eastwood in 2002, luckyscent.com creates a unique web experience and has become a must visit destination for fragrance aficionados who seek the newest, most desirable, exclusive and hard to find scents, candles and bath and body products. LuckyScent.com has added the cult Italian fragrance line Profumum to its ever-growing list of exclusive offerings. Profumum’s philosophy is based on the love of transmitting emotions, pleasures, and memories tied to the world of scents. Profumum was started 1996 by the grandchildren of Celestino Durante, (Giuseppe, Luciano, Maria, and Felice) a knife cutter, whose family’s rich history begins in the tiny Italian town of Sant Elena Sannita.
The eight Profumum scents (100ml), available at www.luckyscent.com exclusively in the US, are:
Acqua e Zucchero, sweet, elusive– with vanilla and sugar and laced with a dash of just-on-the-verge-of-tart wild berries. Exquisitely delicious.
Acqua di Sale, an aroma of salt on the skin – myrthle, cedarwood and marine algae. The soothing thunder of waves crashing against the shore, salt and sand and shells— YOUR OWN PRIVATE BEACH IN A BOTTLE You can almost hear the gulls and feel the cool mist on your face.
Antico Caruso, an aroma of the barber shops of another era: citrus, almond, and sandalwood rich, creamy soaps and brisk herbal tonic. A vibrant citrus note mingles with the subtle sweetness of almond on a warm base of wood. The result is clean, but in a comforting and luxurious.
Thundra, the scent of ground covered with damp leaves: mint, patchouli and white musk. An unexpectedly cool and introspective rendition of patchouli, as peaceful and inspiring as the air after a thunderstorm has broken a heat wave. The warm earthiness of the patchouli is perfectly juxtaposed with the equally grounded, but chilly mint to create a unique and surprisingly relaxing fragrance. Thoughtful and serene.
Fiore d’Ambra, a sensual mix of amber and opium. Sensuous without being overpowering, this is an exceptionally easy-to-wear and versatile amber. It’s amazing on both men and women, it works for day or at night. A stunner.
Patchouly, the smell of old wood trunks in the countryside: patchouli and delicate scents of amber sandalwood and incense. A devastatingly rich and earthy take on patchouli sandalwood accentuates its warm heart and incense wraps it all in a veil of intrigue. Deep and evocative.
Santalum, the essence of sandalwood with accents of myrrh and cinnamon. Deep, with a cello-like resonance, regal and reassuring— everything you want sandalwood to be. There is a bit of incense and a bit of cinnamon, but the star of this show is sandalwood in all its noble glory.
Ichnusa, the warm, dry scent of the Mediterranean in homage to Sardinia: myrthle, fig-tree wood, and cut grass. The predominant note fig – a warm, dry fig with a deep, satisfying sweetness that mingles with wood, freshly cut grass and sharp myrtle. This smells like the last days of summer , when green has turned to gold and fruit is ripening in the bright sun. Very different from green or milky fig scents, this wild and windswept version is a must-try for all fig lovers.
Fiore d’Ambra retails for $195.00 .All other fragrances retail for $180.
