Co- designer Lourdes Hanimian (nickname
for Lourdes is Luli. Fama means fame) teamed together
with brother-in-law Augusto Hanimian to create
an undeniable love for swimwear nearly 15 years ago called
"Luli Fama." Latin inspirations are evident
in the purest form because the two designers have a harmonious
blend that stems from the mixing of their cultures: Lourdes
was born in Cuba and Augusto was born in Argentina.
Luli Fama colors are very complementary in gold, aqua and
chocolate. Using fine imported fabrics and crafted jewelry
distinguishes Luli Fama from its competition.
Just in their fourth season the Luli Fama brand has reached
stores and specialty swim boutiques across the country and
has been featured in Sports Illustrated,
editorials in German and British publications, Elle,
Vogue, In Style, Cosmopolitan, Lucky, Ocean drive, LRM, Maxim,
Glamour, Fitness, and FHM and feature films such
as TAXI and top model, Gisele Bundchen,
wore a Luli Fama suit!
The collection continues to grow with the latest addition
of the STAR collection. This collection
offers high-end quality as well, but also offers sophisticated
details with Swarovski crystals.
Luli Fama’s 2006 collection “La estrella
del Sur” is inspired by a passionate journey
through South America. Rich beautiful colors, such as
aqua sprinkled in gold and accented pieces with crystals,
come together creating exciting pieces to make the Luli Fama
girl the “ star” on the beach.
How do you make you collection stand out? :
“The only way to stand out is to be different. We
are constantly going after the new trend. We are not
afraid to take risks yet know how to make it work so it sells,” says
Luli.

Luli Fama suits can be purchased in swimwear specialty chains
and stores, Boutiques, Resorts, and High-end department stores. Luli
Fama suits are sold in separates and retail between $98 and $160
per set on average. The Luli Fama Star Collection, which
